Last year, the United Nations officially declared June 8 as World Oceans Day. It took 16 years, but it finally happened. And now, there's more reason than ever to make a big hubbub over the event. Our shorelines are undergoing some especially heartbreaking struggles thanks to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

But thankfully, there are things you can do today that will help make a difference for the oceans, even if you can't up and go to the gulf to help clean up oil from the beaches or rescue marine animals . . . {Read more.}
